About the tour
Step inside an authentic Danish home for an unforgettable evening of food, warmth, and real human connection. Dine Like a Dane: The Silvers Experience bridges generations by connecting travelers and locals with Denmark’s "Silvers"—inspiring senior hosts with rich life stories, unique homes, and a deep passion for hospitality.
Forget crowded restaurants. This intimate 2.5-hour experience brings together 5 to 8 guests around a dining table to enjoy a homemade dinner, share meaningful conversations, and experience genuine Danish hygge. Whether your host is a retired architect, an artist, or a lifetime traveler, you’ll enjoy a unique perspective on local life, culture, and history that you won't find in any guidebook.
As featured in The Telegraph: “It’s like hygge with a side of life experience.”
Itinerary
Step 1: Welcome & Warm Introductions (15–20 Mins)
Arrive at your host's home, break the ice, and settle in with a welcome drink. Your host will introduce themselves, share a bit about their neighborhood, and set a cozy, relaxed atmosphere for the evening.
Step 2: Home-Cooked Meal & Intimate Table Conversation (1.5 Hours)
Sit down around a shared table for a delicious, homemade dinner prepared by your Silver host. As you enjoy the food and wine, engage in open, inspiring conversation about Danish culture, life stories, local history, and personal experiences across generations.
Step 3: Dessert, Coffee & Hygge (30–40 Mins)
Wrap up the evening over traditional coffee, tea, and dessert. Ask for local Copenhagen insider tips from someone who has lived here for decades, enjoy the warm hygge atmosphere, and depart with unforgettable memories and new connections.
