Hygge & Julehjerter: Danish Christmas Heart Workshop in Copenhagen

Join our monthly Walk & Tour Club for a cozy afternoon learning the traditional Danish art of weaving Julehjerter (paper Christmas hearts) to take home for your tree! We will gather at the café in Matrikel1 (Højbro Pl. 10). To keep this event accessible to everyone, the small entry fee simply covers your crafting materials. You are welcome to buy hot gløgg, coffee, or fresh pastries directly from the café bar to enjoy while we weave.

About the event

Escape the winter chill and welcome the holiday season with a special 2-hour indoor edition of our Walk & Tour Club. We are bringing the warmth of Danish hygge inside for an afternoon dedicated to tradition, crafting, and community.

Gathered in a reserved indoor venue, we will spend two hours learning the classic art of weaving paper Julehjerter to take home for your tree. As we craft, we’ll share holiday stories and enjoy steaming mugs of spiced Gløgg alongside warm æbleskiver, making it the perfect way to unwind and meet new people in Copenhagen.

Complete DIY paper kit (colorful strips, templates, tools & glue) to make your Christmas hearts.
Step-by-step guidance in English, Spanish, and Italian.
A warm, friendly atmosphere to craft and connect with locals and travelers.
